Holiday Blizzard

Denver has been hit by the "Holiday Blizzard of 2006". I have missed the most recent of Denver's biggest blizzards. These include one at Christmas of 1982 when we were in Upstate NY. We were sure we would get a white Christmas there; instead we got rain and Dad was snowed into Denver. Denver was also immobilized by a spring blizzard in March of 2003, which was a few months before Andy and I moved here.

All the schools, most businesses, the postal service, garbage pickup, and the bus system are all closed. Anders and I stayed home yesterday since his daycare was closed. Andy made it home about 2:00. We spent yesterday finishing our wrapping and holiday baking. Today we hope to deliver some treats to our neighbors by sled/snowshow. Here are some pictures from our house. More to come later.
