Anders and the family at the Irish Hunger Memorial

This weekend seemed like some kind of cultural reckoning. Three generations of Irish Americans traipsing around the city, a hotel overlooking the Irish Hunger Memorial, which in turn overlooks the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, etc. That's Sarah and Anders in the top picture, Calvin, Jody, Kate and Sarah in the next. The first picture below is the view from the top of the memorial, and that's Kate waving up at us in the hotel from in front of the memorial in the last picture.

Below are videos of Kate and Anders putting snow into the warming oven followed by Anders running. Both include random Jody commentary.

Yes, random is a nice way to put it. Yammering on at the top of my lungs is more like it. Take my recommendation and turn off the audio.
