Phone Banks Relieve Stress
I just spent a couple of hours calling Florida voters who have been identified as Obama supporters to remind them of their poll locations. Calling voters made me less anxious than I have been while sitting around hitting the refresh button on 538, and the phone bank was conveniently located 3 blocks from my house in what normally is a neighborhood bar/ music spot. Among the tiny number of voters who actually answered my call, most had already voted but seemed relatively happy to get my call anyway.

I am obsessed with the election!
I cannot stop hitting the refresh button on the news sources and blogs I read to find out what people are saying about the election. I can't wait until this is over, so I can move on to other things I am interested in- though if Obama/Biden lose, I may never recover.

Tough call, which do you watch?

The Audacity of Meow

I found this image on the website Cats for Obama, with the title The Audacity of Meow. I loved it because it reminds me of two things that have been much on my mind--the election and Elvis.
Neilson put his pictures of the Raise the Pint to Elvis event on flickr. A sample below.

Women for John McCain
Check out Women for John McCain. (Not created by the Yes Men- but by a "rogue blogger" in an "undisclosed location" in one of those "coastal elite" states...). I think we can all use a laugh.
