Voting in NY

Calvin and I voted at 7AM this morning, many people at the polls on the Lower East Side. Go Obama!

I voted at 7 too. There was actually a line--I waited for about 40 minutes, which has never happened in my neighborhood before.

Go Obama, Indeed! This is a very big day!(We all got to vote early so no election day poll adventures here, but I think I will drive by a few times just to feel a part of it.)

I voted early on Friday but since they couldn't "find" my, or the elderly Mexican man's, names on the computer I was glad I went early. They eventually called the state/county, it was unclear who, and surprise surprise, there I was. They did the same for the other gentleman. There was a line on Friday which they made both of us wait through twice, but we both complied and cast our vote.

It was obvious that they had been unable to "find" quite a high percentage of voters as they delivered a whole lecture about how we weren't good voters because we didn't come prepared with our voter numbers. I hope that doesn't discourage anyone today. Mom and Dad voted early on Wednesday last week and there were lines then too.
