Family Convergence

It has been a busy weekend of family activities. On Friday, Jody, Calvin, Eric, Marc and I went to the Mets game. (Yes, the Mets. The Yankees were out of town.) It was fun, but Shea Stadium requires a lot more participation from the stands than Yankee Stadium does. We dishonored the family name by leaving in the 10th inning--missing out on the final 4! On Saturday, Frank (a.k.a Dad) got here at 6:30 in the morning. By 11, we had been to the gym, eaten breakfast, assembled his bike, and taken it to the bike store to fill the tires and get it a final tune up. Later in the evening, we watched the Kentucky Derby at Calvin's and ate a delicious dinner cooked by Jody. (I am happy the Bluegrass Cat came in 2nd.) Marc had gone to Annapolis, but Eric joined us again. On Sunday, we did the 5 Borough Bike Tour. We had perfect weather (sunny and cool) and finished in record time (for us)--we were back at my house by 2. To recover, we met Jane and Don (honorary Culkins, surely) for some brewskis at the Greenwich Village Bistro. We returned to Calvin's for another fantastic dinner and to watch Dumb and Dumber, Seinfeld (the Keith Hernandez episode), and the Sopranos, with not only Jody and Calvin, but also Eric and Marc. Now Frank and I are in an internet cafe, working (and blogging, obviously).

I hope to have some pictures of these various events up soon.

Wow! That is a busy weekend, even for Culkins. We went to a Derby party also and placed our bets on Bluegrass Cat! If Anders looks a liitle pale in your bday greeting, its because he has another ear infection. The doctor says we can still fly on Wed though.
