Too Much (Almost)

The Democratic Convention coming on the heals of the Olympics is almost too much to take. And the CNN coverage is horrific. Let the Clinton supporters won't vote for Obama story go guys. Michelle Obama was great, although I felt bad that it was decided not once (I don't think) to mention that she went to Princeton and Harvard and instead to stress she liked the Brady Bunch.

I was going to post something about this- aren't these events broadcast in an almost scarily similar way?

The hyped event followed by the interview with stupid questions. How did you feel when you didn't get a medal? How did you feel when you weren't chosen as the vice-presidential candidate?

Michelle Obama was great, and I liked her brother too. It is alarming that she has to play down her many accomplishments. Actually, I am embarrassed to say, I was kind of touched by Teddy too. Not so much by what he said, but that he was there.

It'll be interesting to see how long Michelle O'Bama can tamp down her real personality. While she looked great and was very poised, her words and her delivery were obviously not her own. This too-carefully crafted approach will probably offend both those inclined to like her and those inclined to hate her. I'm wondering if she can manage to stomach this until November.

I just caught the 2nd half of Bill's speech, but it looks like he got himself under control.

He was great, as was Hillary last night.
